Import & Logistics Manager

Full – Time Office Based

Overview:

Our client are seeking an experienced and highly organised “Import and Logistics Manager” to manage all aspects of shipping and logistics for our expanding business. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing international shipments from our global supplier base through to delivery, to UK & EU Distribution centres, you will also be responsible for the bookings and delivery of goods to our wholesale partners.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate Shipments: Organise and monitor the shipment of goods from international suppliers to ensure timely and efficient delivery.
  • Customs Documentation: Prepare, review, and submit all required documentation for customs clearance, ensuring compliance with import regulations and government policies.
  • Supplier and Freight Forwarder Communication: Act as a liaison between suppliers, freight forwarders, and customs brokers to resolve any issues related to shipments.
  • Inventory Management: Work with the Buying & Merchandising team to ensure accurate stock movement from third party warehousing, to ensure stock levels are maintained and accurate.
  • Critical Path updates / Bookings: Ensuring the CP is maintained and updated, including liaising with retail / wholesale partners to arrange bookings and deliveries.
  • Track Shipments: Monitor the status of shipments and provide updates to relevant departments, highlighting any delays or issues.
  • Cost Management: Manage shipping costs, including obtaining quotes from freight carriers, negotiating rates, and ensuring cost-effective solutions.
  • Compliance: Ensure all import activities comply with customs regulations, international trade laws, and company policies, providing HS codes for customs clearance. Ensuring all suppliers comply to our clients , purchase order terms and conditions.
  • Reporting: Maintain records of all imports, including cost analysis, delivery timelines, and any delays, for reporting purposes.
  • Problem-Solving: Address any issues or delays in the import process, including customs clearance delays, lost or damaged goods, and incorrect documentation.
  • Communication: Provide exceptional communication to internal teams and deliver information in a timely manner.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Experience: Ideally the successful candidate would have a minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role.
  • Knowledge: Strong understanding of international shipping, customs clearance processes, and import/export regulations.
  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to negotiate and collaborate effectively with external suppliers and internal teams.
  • Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy in processing documentation and managing logistics.
  • Problem-Solving: Ability to think critically and resolve issues efficiently and professionally.
  • Organisation: Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • IT Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and experience with import management software or ERP systems.

About the Role:

We are seeking a talented and highly creative Fashion Designer specialising in Knitwear to join our dynamic team in Manchester. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in knitwear design, passionate about trends, and experienced in working with high street retailers and fast fashion e-commerce brands. You will play a key role in developing trend-led collections that align with commercial demands while pushing the boundaries of knit innovation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design & Development:
    • Create innovative and commercially viable fully fashioned knitwear designs for both high street accounts and fast fashion e-commerce platforms.
    • Develop trend-focused collections across various categories, including sweaters, cardigans and co-ords.
    • Work closely with the buying and merchandising teams to ensure designs meet customer profiles, price points, and brand aesthetics.
    • Research and apply seasonal trends, colours, yarns, and stitch techniques to collections.
  • Technical Expertise:
    • Strong understanding of different knitting techniques, including jersey, rib, jacquard, intarsia, pointelle, cables, and textured knits.
    • Collaborate with technical teams to ensure designs are fully fashioned, technically sound, and production-ready.
    • Oversee the sampling process, providing clear technical packs and ensuring fit and quality standards are met.
  • Production Liaison:
    • Work closely with manufacturers both domestically and internationally to manage product development timelines.
  • Trend Research & Presentation:
    • Conduct regular market research, competitor analysis, and trend forecasting to stay ahead of emerging styles.
    • Prepare mood boards, CADs, and design presentations for internal teams and external clients.

Key Requirements:

  • Experience:
    • Minimum of 3–5 years’ experience as a Knitwear Designer, preferably within the high street or fast fashion sector.
    • Proven track record in designing fully fashioned knitwear with an in-depth understanding of various knit constructions.
  • Skills:
    • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop), Excel, and CAD software.
    • Strong technical knowledge of yarns, gauges, and garment construction.
    • Ability to interpret trends into commercial products quickly and effectively.
    • Excellent communication skills for cross-functional collaboration with buyers, merchandise.

Office Based with 1 day Hybrid.

We are seeking a bright and dynamic Merchandiser to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 18 months experience in merchandising and demonstrate the ability to work at a fast pace, think creatively, and adapt quickly to new systems. You will be working on key accounts. Your responsibilities will include managing orders from confirmation through to shipment, liaising with factories and customers, chasing completion, and uploading test reports.

Junior Streetwear Designer

Salary approx £24k to £29k dependant on exp.

Our Client is looking for a new multi-product apparel designer with relevant industry experience to join the team to work on a new streetwear brand.

The designer for this brand must have an in-depth knowledge in multi-product apparel design including jersey, denim ,woven and outerwear. Graphic design skills are also required as well an understanding how to apply graphics to apparel through print techniques, applications, fabric and trim development.

 

The role will be to produce and follow supplied references and inspiration with the ability to translate this into commercial collections. An in depth knowledge of streetwear culture and finger on the pulse with current trends are key within this role. You will be reporting into the Head of Design working closely with a team of designers and developers.

 

Key Duties & Responsibilities

  • Research new colours, trims and fabrics, producing mood boards
  • Ability and know how to create exciting seasonal collections in line with research and direction provided, from concept through to production
  • Produce sketches, technical drawings and tech packs in adobe illustrator with a high attention to detail
  • Handover tech packs to the product development team, ensuring that key design details are translated
  • Ensure key deadlines are met

 

Experience Required

  • Have an in-depth knowledge of current and past streetwear trends
  • Ideally educated to a degree level in fashion design

PHOTOGRAPHY STUDIO ASSISTANT

Key Responsibilities:

Studio Preparation:

  • Set up and maintain the studio environment, including lighting equipment, backdrops, props, and other studio accessories.
  • Assist with the procurement of props for photo shoots, including sourcing, ordering, and returning items as needed.
  • Prepare equipment for photo shoots, ensuring everything is clean, organised, and in good working order.
  • Assist with the construction and dismantling of sets.

Photo Shoot Support:

  • Assist the photographer during photo shoots, including moving equipment, adjusting lighting, and retrieving props.
  • Act as a stylist’s assistant, helping with garment changes, steaming clothes, and maintaining the set’s overall look.
  • Assist with model direction and coordination as needed.
  • Liaise with model agencies to book models for photo shoots.

Post-Production Support:
