Product Designer

Ideal candidate would come from a Product Development or Garment Technology background or Pattern Cutting Experienced.

Location: Cheshire West – Commutable from South Manchester, Merseyside, Shropshire, North Wales.

This is not a Design role.

Salary dependant on experience.

 

Job Summary

This role reports to a Principal Product Designer for a specific class of products. It is focused on executing and coordinating product design tasks as part of a wider design team. This may include developing and using specialist garment design skills

 

Duties and responsibilities

  • Analysis of customer requirements
  • Development of design concepts using CAD/ CAM (Gerber & AutoCAD)
  • Create detailed design drawings using AutoCAD and photography
  • Participation in design reviews and customer meetings
  • Preparation of design documentation
  • Support manufacturing sites through New Product Introduction activities
  • Research materials, processes, or market requirements
  • Support prototype development working closely with machinists
  • Provide customer support as required throughout the development process
  • Support testing events, on-site and off-site
  • Occasional travel to support business requirements
  • Make presentations to present design ideas and concepts.

Design Assistant

Entry level salary approx £23k

Full-time Office based

Manchester

Working alongside designers on multiple brands across several product areas.

Assisting designers on ranges for DTC websites and multiple wholesale accounts.

Keeping up to date with current trends and creating mood boards to aid with future strategies and helping to present to wider business.

Researching new emerging trends and high street/branded competitors, including comp shop trips.

Bring new and fresh ideas to the team.

Liaise and build strong relationships with suppliers and key accounts.

Assisting designers with tech packing.

Assisting with updating the critical path to ensure design communications are up to date.

Assisting team to organise lab dips and strike offs.

Provide administrative support to the design team, Including day to day autes.

Ensure trims room is organised at all times.

Seek guidance on ‘Best Practice’ from the team and implement

Our Finance Shared Service Centre of excellence has an exciting opportunity to bring on board a Cash Application Specialist supporting the wider Credit and Billing team on a full-time, permanent basis. Situated at our offices in Dunmurry, your new role comes with great opportunities of progression!

Reporting to the Cash Application Team Leader, your role is focused on receiving payment and ensuring accurate application and reconciliation of payments to customer accounts, preparing statements by communicating with our credit control and record to report teams.  

What You Can Expect from the Role

Key Responsibilities and accountabilities:

  •   Allocation of cash receipts and reconciliation of customer accounts.
  •  Communicating with local credit control teams to resolve queries relating to cash allocation 
  •  Resolve customer queries with tact and diplomacy, through to a satisfactory resolution.
  •  Check credit note, and journal request forms and relevant paperwork are in order for approvals e.g. vat credit requests, withholding tax, refunds.
  •  Liaise with members of the operations and sales teams at regional sites. 
  •  Ensure all documentation is electronically stored to customer/dept folders in a timely manner to minimise hard copy paperwork 
  •  Assist the Cash Management Team with the compilation of month end report to the board.
  •  Completion of weekly bank reconciliations (Multi-Currency) 
  •  Supporting senior team members with ad hoc accounting tasks
  •   Assisting with Credit Control function

Essential Criteria

  • Proven experience in a similar finance/ credit control environment  
  •  Experience in the preparation of customer account reconciliations, including the use of cash application software 
  •  Ability to maintain strong relationships with external clients and internal colleagues to meet demanding deadlines 
  •  Great verbal and written communication skills 

Desirable

  • Degree in a finance/business related field 
  •  Experience of dealing with a multicurrency sales ledger

Import & Logistics Manager

Overview:

Our client are seeking an experienced and highly organised “Import and Logistics Manager” to manage all aspects of shipping and logistics for our expanding business. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing international shipments from our global supplier base through to delivery, to UK & EU Distribution centres, you will also be responsible for the bookings and delivery of goods to our wholesale partners.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate Shipments: Organise and monitor the shipment of goods from international suppliers to ensure timely and efficient delivery.
  • Customs Documentation: Prepare, review, and submit all required documentation for customs clearance, ensuring compliance with import regulations and government policies.
  • Supplier and Freight Forwarder Communication: Act as a liaison between suppliers, freight forwarders, and customs brokers to resolve any issues related to shipments.
  • Inventory Management: Work with the Buying & Merchandising team to ensure accurate stock movement from third party warehousing, to ensure stock levels are maintained and accurate.
  • Critical Path updates / Bookings: Ensuring the CP is maintained and updated, including liaising with retail / wholesale partners to arrange bookings and deliveries.
  • Track Shipments: Monitor the status of shipments and provide updates to relevant departments, highlighting any delays or issues.
  • Cost Management: Manage shipping costs, including obtaining quotes from freight carriers, negotiating rates, and ensuring cost-effective solutions.
  • Compliance: Ensure all import activities comply with customs regulations, international trade laws, and company policies, providing HS codes for customs clearance. Ensuring all suppliers comply to our clients , purchase order terms and conditions.
  • Reporting: Maintain records of all imports, including cost analysis, delivery timelines, and any delays, for reporting purposes.
  • Problem-Solving: Address any issues or delays in the import process, including customs clearance delays, lost or damaged goods, and incorrect documentation.
  • Communication: Provide exceptional communication to internal teams and deliver information in a timely manner.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Experience: Ideally the successful candidate would have a minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role.
  • Knowledge: Strong understanding of international shipping, customs clearance processes, and import/export regulations.
  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to negotiate and collaborate effectively with external suppliers and internal teams.
  • Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy in processing documentation and managing logistics.
  • Problem-Solving: Ability to think critically and resolve issues efficiently and professionally.
  • Organisation: Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • IT Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and experience with import management software or ERP systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design & Development:
    • Create innovative and commercially viable fully fashioned knitwear designs for both high street accounts and fast fashion e-commerce platforms.
    • Develop trend-focused collections across various categories, including sweaters, cardigans and co-ords.
    • Work closely with the buying and merchandising teams to ensure designs meet customer profiles, price points, and brand aesthetics.
    • Research and apply seasonal trends, colours, yarns, and stitch techniques to collections.
  • Technical Expertise:
    • Strong understanding of different knitting techniques, including jersey, rib, jacquard, intarsia, pointelle, cables, and textured knits.
    • Collaborate with technical teams to ensure designs are fully fashioned, technically sound, and production-ready.
    • Oversee the sampling process, providing clear technical packs and ensuring fit and quality standards are met.
  • Production Liaison:
    • Work closely with manufacturers both domestically and internationally to manage product development timelines.
  • Trend Research & Presentation:
    • Conduct regular market research, competitor analysis, and trend forecasting to stay ahead of emerging styles.
    • Prepare mood boards, CADs, and design presentations for internal teams and external clients.

Key Requirements:

  • Experience:
